This is the cover to my DeLorean book that I made for my final first year piece.
I shall post up some spreads and sketches from it over the next few days.
I had really wished to be able to go to the Delorean convention this weekend in Belfast (to mark the 30th anniversary of the car) but I sadly wasn’t able to. I did get to see one on the road on Friday so I at least got that much.
Major thanks to Neal Barcley for the help he gave me with all the information from the Delorean factory.

A couple of weeks ago, over a few too many pints of cider, myself and my future flatmates Andi and Jayde got to talking about how our course has been this year and what we feel we’ve learnt. That conversation eventually came round to why we haven’t collaborated together outside of Uni despite talking about it so much. So we decided it was time to take action, and in that drunken haze we decided to create a zine.
The topic was ‘favourite movies’ so I decided on the Marx Brothers brilliant Duck Soup (originally was going to be Ghostbusters) My Marx Brothers boxset comes with the old movie cards so I want to try and emulate the look and colour of those old posters and caricatures.
As with everyone’s contributions this was kind of quickly pieced together since we are all nearing the end of our final project but I may come back and work on this or others again.
And I’ll definitely be posting up images of the completed zine once I have it printed.
